'Sound of Japan Series' is a music project that newly reinterprets representative Japanese classic songs for the Thai market, adapts them into Thai lyrics, and releases them to the global market with Thailand as the core market, performed by a Thai artist.

This project aims to preserve the unique sensibility and emotional depth inherent in Japanese music while recreating the work into a piece that can resonate with a new generation through modern sound production suitable for the Thai market.

The meaning of this project lies not merely in content production, but in connecting Japan and Thailand through the shared language of music and forming cultural empathy between the both country.

ABOUT ORIGINAL MUSIC
“Niji” is a heartfelt ballad by Suda Masaki, released in Japan in 2020. The song gained wide recognition for its warm, emotional tone and simple yet powerful melody. It performed strongly on Japanese music charts and became one of his most beloved tracks. Known for its gentle piano arrangement and sincere lyrics, “Niji” captures themes of love, everyday life, and quiet happiness.

The song’s nostalgic and comforting atmosphere has resonated with a broad audience, making it a standout piece in modern Japanese pop music and a meaningful choice for reinterpretation.
WHY WE CHOSE THIS SONG
The Thai market has strong mainstream acceptance of ballads, and songs with clear emotional lines and narrative qualities continue to be consumed.

If the warm emotional tone of “Niji” is naturally adapted into Thai, it can add a differentiated emotional layer as a Japanese sensibility ballad while remaining easy for Thai audiences to accept commercially. In other words, it has characteristics that can reliably attract a broad audience base.
